Invention needs inspiration. Therefore what inspired god to create light, if all there has been is darkness?
If man was created in the image of god. Then god had eyes. Why would he have eyes when there was never light?

From a literalist perspective, you raise a very good question.
As a theist that is more on the non-literalist side of Biblical interpretation, I believe the verses in Genesis about God creating light are to help illustrate the belief that a single god created the entire known universe.

Actually, I think it may be the case that Lucifer was the God of Genesis, given that Lucifer is "the bringer of light", and the very first act of creation was God saying "Let there be light."
