Dan Barker of the freedom from religion foundation wrote
an incredible article titled, "Did Jesus Really Rise From The Dead (http://ffrf.org/about/bybarker/rise.php)".

The article takes an in-depth look at the resurrection narrative. He (Dan)
challenges believers to provide a simple non-contradictory chronological
narrative of the events without omitting any details. Apparently this is
much harder than christian apologists would have you believe.

I believe Barker is right. If one believes the New Testament writings are not contradictory, then, to the best of my knowledge, it is an impossible task to make a chronological trail of events regarding the cricifixion and resurrection of Jesus and not leave out a verse of two.

The Legend Theory is interesting and may prove to be true. On the other hand, just because there are contradictions in the different accounts, doesn't prove the resurrection did not happen.
