In the spirit of adventure, my wife and I tried a lovely little Cava yesterday. It's the 2002 Marques de Gelida available at Cost Plus for $12. We had it with some Cote d' Or Belgian Chocolate (also courtesy of CPWM). The Cava was light and beautiful with apple and floral notes. I love the tiny, no microscopic, little bubbles! Very nice and a great buy I thought for anyone interested in wine.

I drink red wine every evening, but I'm not picky. I usually buy those boxes with the spigot.

There are some great wines now available in boxes. Most evenings we get our wine from pressing a spigot too!:)

I usually buy Peter Vella's Red Wine. Inexpensive and excellent taste.

I'll check it out--thanks! We like the Cab/Shiraz blend from Target. It works well with everything from pasta to burgers.

I visited the Testarossa Vineyard in Los Gatos a couple of weekends ago and bought a bottle of 2005 Garys' Vineyard Pinot Noir (http://store.nexternal.com/shared/StoreFront/product_detail.asp?CS=testarossa&RowID=75&All=). I'm going to try to hang on to it for 6 months or so before I drink it. Please keep the wine recommendations coming, I'm making a list...

I'm sipping a flute of the 2002 Marques de Gelida right now. I must say I'm enjoying it. Thanks for sharing the recommendation.

Right frickin' on! Glad you found it. Hard to beat the price. Told my buddy in Seattle about it but their Cost Plus doesn't carry it.
Cheers!
