Hello to all.
I am currently waging battle from the front lines. I am a long time resident of Colorado Springs. Whilst I was not looking the Evangelicals moved in. For the last 10 years they have been repositioning troops from all over the country and strategicaly re-deploying them here in my wonderful little town. This makes life extremely fun for an atheist. Was almost assaulted in a mall due to some rednecks anger over my " I support the war on x-mas" t-shirt. I have been flipped off by little old men who dont like my bumper stickers. I was thrown out of a school board meeting after stating i was a devout atheist. Focus on the Family has their greasy little fingers all over this town. I battle them every day. Armed with reason I cannotlose. Coffee is wearing off. Must go to work. Hope this didn't sound angry. was supposed to humor. too much coffee perhaps.:alberteinstein:

Hi SPOT!

Welcome! Given where you live we should probably come up with some system to check on your safety. If we don't hear from you within a certain amount of time we should send a search party!

That's just like S2R, any excuse for a party. Welcome spot. I think back a year or so to This American Life from NPR. They had a program called Pray speaking to Evangelicals that were on a mission to do some sort of grid prayer for Colorado Springs, blessing every street, every corner, every building. What a time waster. If you can't find it in their archives of pod casts, PM me and I'll burn you a copy and send it to you.

I remember the grid system. That lasted about two days. I think it was the fundies or the mormons. They all look the same. Honestly we have about 6,000,987,586 churches here so i wouldn't know where to find it.
Thanks for the concern.
Every time I am cornered by the pious I yell "rapture" and they all look up to the heavens and I then sneak away stealthily (is that a word?)

ROFL! You should have that as your sig! If I had been drinking a soda when I read that I worry about the state of my screen and keyboard!

Hey, wait a minute.. Why wasn't I invited?!?

Oh, and welcome Spot.. I feel for you. It's bad enough to have a FEW fundies around you, but, having a whole town of kool-aid drinking zombies? Well, I just don't know how you do it.
