Stumpy

Hey all, I just want to say I found this website purely by accident, someone had it set up on Stumble. Gotta love it. At any rate, I'm married, 31, no children but I do have 3 dogs and 4 birds, the newest being an umbrella cockatoo who dishes out more love than anything I've ever seen. My wife and I are basically open wheel racing fanatics (can you guess, we live in Indiana) as well as big time Disney freaks, not to mention I love football. As far as the whole issue of religion, I grew up as a Presbyterian in the bible thumping South and have a lot of family that is Southern Baptist. I came to the realization that I was an atheist when I was a teenager. I had religious influences everywhere (including heavily in the public schools I attended) and tried to believe, but for some reason I found that organized religion had more questions than answers. I simply never could accept the concept of a supreme being and realized that atheism is not necessarily a choice. I didn't choose to be an Atheist, I simply was. For the longest time I have been closeted about it because of the consequences associated with it but I'm slowly becoming more assertive about my lack of beliefs and the desire not to have other religions, particularly Christianity, forced on me. That's me in a nutshell, as you read my posts you'll probably begin to see how demented I really am! :D
