The following account is a few drops of rain from the deluge given in a personal encounter with the deep unconscious.

Know that the old testament God is here, now. Accessible to anyone applying themselves to the techniques necessary to experience the Almighty. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God. Go see the burning bush for yourself, if you dare. Kinda’ looks like that cherubim with the flaming sword. Yes, the one barring entrance back to the Garden of Eden and its tree of Life.

The techniques are called the withdrawal and the return.
The realization of the Godhead from either path is real and natural. One path offers seeming eternal agony and despair. The alternate is the path of spiritual ecstasy. Ecstasy gets my vote as the preferred method.
The actual path resembles a knife edge, inches, or a coupla’ feet high at first where the falls are only regrettable. Later, if pursued, the path can attain such heights that a fall will threaten the experiencers sanity, doomed to spend his physical life as a drooling creature unable to care for themselves, or, become a fanatic and stop any progress. Of course, there are rewards for the survivors, but at a cost.

Biblical references in the old testament refer often to a fire experience. The cherubim with the flaming sword hiding the tree of Life. The burning bush that affected Moses face so that his tribe knew he had seen God. Many other instances can be referenced. This is the path of separation. Knowing the existence of air is obvious when one is deprived of breath. Existence separate from God is the basis of the biblical message. The message is that the separation type of existence must be avoided, though the most renowned of the prophets seem to have brought back seemingly amazing prophesies. A couple of them didn’t die. Is this the source of sacrifice as demanded in the Bible? Do you have to give up something to the Almighty in order to receive a gift?

Welcome to Life. The bible is the instruction set. Unfortunately it is written for men of past ages and is sorely in need of a re-write. Of course the necessary revision would of necessity require such a different vocabulary that the protests from the ignorant would be hard to ignore, and, shouldn’t be ignored. Every man, woman and child has a unique path.
There are several intelligently designed religions that embrace the best intentions of old messages. Of necessity knowledge is hidden until the student is ready. Ultimately the choice is made by the individual. The inner knowledge is always available and is not dependent on any external world. It’s always nice to have a knowledgeable guide to point the way. The obvious boulders and hazards are often not revealed to the student till he trips on them.

The experimenter can certainly use the older references such as the Bible, Koran, Upanishads, etc. The difficulty is in the person’s status when a serious personal experiment in depth is pursued. The devil hounds of prejudice, taught fears and other "demons" to numerous or unknown to discuss will overwhelm the subject solely because the newness of modern life was not seen in the older tomes. Older texts are not as capable of referencing the 21st century situation. When new situations in the experiment are encountered, the old language is not robust enough. The experimenter is caught, as are all, by these influences with no means to cut himself loose or exert control over his strange situations.

The "demon" martyrdom comes to light. When martyrdom is encouraged, coaxed, and commanded the most powerful of the unconscious archetypes is exposed. Christianity calls forth Satan, the Devil, to take this role. Of course the individual himself becomes Satan as he professes that Christianity demands that he not deny Christ even when threatened with death. Torture even, will not let the "true" believer utter even a sigh of regret for his situation. Opposite is the man who will deny his own mother when forced to wear tight shoes.

A man is in a small rowboat in a river so wide that the river’s banks are out of sight. He knows he is in a flowing river because of the things floating on the river. Some of the things are other rowers. Some of the others are going past him. Others are getting farther behind. Heaven is felt as the rower is proceeding downstream at the same pace as the current. No effort. In harmony with the great Sound Current. The Holy Spirit. The Life Force. Awareness. The ECK flowing from the SUGMAD. Talk and communication is a social existence as he is in earshot of friends or others for a considerable time. Now rowing, especially against the current, causes great effort and is resisted. The resistance causes heat and the rower becomes aware of the river banks and that he is now motionless. He is now alone. He is isolated and bereft of human companionship. Everyone, even worse, everything is flowing past him leaving him an isolated island generating a very small resistance relative to the inevitable flow of Spirit, but enormous for him as he perceives himself as the creator of All. He has heated up and Soul may be burned to a crisp depending on the momentum he has initiated. This can be directly experienced as a smell of sulfur that is most pronounced when the sun’s light hits the flesh. As the photons are energizing the molecules to power a now different gene expressed protein, such as melanin and its related anti cancer factors. The Human consciousness is directed and focused at this moment of transition of energy to matter. This experience is the source of the writings of the fire and brimstone and eternal suffering from which there is no relief. It is real and dangerous. This uncontrolled rise of Kundalini. From these tales comes the source of the region called Hell.

The experience of Hell is achieved while alive, as is the experience of some of Heaven. No need to wait to buy your ticket. Blaspheme of the Holy Spirit is the Biblical "unforgivable sin" because there is no lag in the action and its result. The skydiver knows when he jumps that the ground is next. Next only in respect of its inevitable impact on the body. Did the ground come to the body? Or the body to the ground? The result is predicated from the action of jumping. There is no "do over." If you’ve never been to Hell, you haven’t blasphemed.

The skydiver may be vain and think he is standing still and he is pulling the earth to him. This is what his senses tell him. This IS vanity and wrong thinking. This solipsistic view is a phenomenological experience as soul sees itself the center of the universe. Soul is in this state of consciousness until told different. This is the mind’s point of view. The mind can become trapped in the inevitable paradox when its powers are amplified by certain methods or 40 days in the desert sort of thing. This be bad. The experiencer may not recover the ability to live in the world of his birth.

The knowledge of his terrible experience is always with him, unless his brain’s memories are erased by electro shocks and other techniques that may be necessary to relieve the burden of creating the universes on his own. If brought back from the precipice and not a drooling vegetable, then his fanaticism from his "revelations" will be obvious and a hindrance to further development. Great care is called for if his return is to be accepted. Terrible knowledge gleaned from the experience may be used for the benefit or detriment of himself and humanity. Thou will be done.
The negative experience happens when the individual attempts and does bring God down to the physical level. The pain experienced is the burning away of the untruths to which the mind is attached. Nothing false stands in close proximity to the Source of Consciousness.

Heaven is achieved by drifting at the same pace as your buddies, allowing the great current to direct your travels. You are no longer alone. The other sparks of God, while being a spark yourself, are with you and it is important and pleasurable not to be alone and isolated. Raise yourself to God’s level by ridding your self of all that is not true. Rid yourself of desire. A healthy physical body makes the ecstatic state easier to achieve. A clear conscience will lengthen time spent ecstatical. Not being in debt helps too. Getting your mind right is more complicated. Word definitions get in the way along with life experiences, now symbolized, from youth.
Concentration and attitude are the keys. Truer words I have not found. Definitions of concentration and attitude are problematic. Most think the meanings are clear. So did I. Meanings, misunderstood, are the collar and leash of the computer mind. Fear is output. Adrenalin flows and the soul-brain connection is broken. Fear of Heaven? How can this be?
How many heavens? How many atoms? The Travelers map the mystical experiences so future travelers may find their way and avoid the potholes to hell. Physicists have shown that the experience of gravity may be my personal first step toward ecstasis. Being the weakest of the forces in the physical this would be the first great innate desire to be dropped. This experience is interpreted by the instinctual mind as falling, and obvious "flight or fight" body reactions occur.

Attaining the ability to look at the lines of letters on this page without understanding them is a first step. Listening to a talk radio show and not understanding the spoken word is far stranger than listening to a foreign language. I know the speech should be understandable but I hear it as a beautiful flow of strange music.

My instinctual mind is stubborn and is a formidable, complex tool that I attempt to master. Gravity is slowly symbolized as physical "acts in a play" that eventually will lead to a dropping of the minds attachment to an interpreted gravity. At first the "play" may be of flying by your bootstraps. Later falling off a cliff. Taking a ramped train crossing at high speed, thus becoming airborne. The river Styx even came to view when I attempted crossing by swimming. Black and with no reflections. Strange stuff here. Better wait for the ferry. But this be the mind. Illusions rampant here. Mixed with the truth. Drop the mind and the dichotomies disappear. No cause, no affect. Go with the flow of the ECK. The temple on the mountain’s snow line. White dome shining in the moonlight. The initiations. The Shariyats. Oh yeah, and those little desks ya’ sit in while being taught as a group by the Face Swimming Inner Master.

Adventures galore for the brave. Fear will hold you back. Be not blind in your actions and proceed to the promised lands. Time is wanting. Discipline is called for but rarely perceived. Opportunity is to be seized when presented. Develop sensitivity, right discrimination and drop the baggage. Be comfortable in the physical, seek health, be active in this quest.

The spiritual man can be easily spotted. He or she does not pray openly. He considers his advice and may help when asked. He might be a trash collector. He might shun the religious words. He need not be an Eckist, Christian, or Muslim. Nor have heard of ECK, the Word, the Holy Spirit, or Allah.. His progress can not be perceived with human senses or perceptions. He may be an avowed atheist. He will LIVE his life. Learning by experience. Learning as the student, taught by the travelers. The Force is noticeably strong around him. He will not tolerate fools. Woe unto him that thinks ill of the god man.

OK, I did take note that soon after you signed up you changed your listed Belief System from Eckancar to Pragmatic solopsist[sic], panpsychist, none of which I've delved deeply into, but earlier works of yours I've read here makes you seem a little more grounded than the conceptual realities espoused by the above paragraph. Seemingly a stream of consciousness attempt to justify a major mixing of metaphors. Life Is a bowl of cherries, but I only got the pits, who stole my rose colored glasses? A plate of Oreo cookies, without the filling, damn.

A 34 year old experiment in depth psychology will definitely take a little explaining.

My inner life is quite active. The experiences akin to dreams and also dreams. Can you relate to dreams? Not more than 3 days ago I recorded an experience of looking out a bus window to see a peculiar looking ground effect vehicle with wide mounted low wings, no dihedral, same width root to tip, obviously not meant for flying other than in the stream of vehicles with the bus and other slower traffic. The Insignia was Nod as near as I could tell. The top had about 5 big vacuum jar clear glass bells in single file sticking out occupied by men visible from mid torso up. They each looked at a screen and were fiddling with some kind of controls. As the winged ground effect went by I saw a label Rog on the first, 2 on the second, and I did not recall the others at the recording, but the others had labels also.

Some probing later showed the dream an unconscious way of representing gnawed.com and interactions with the membership.

And so the revelation. After being on fire and fanatical after the powerful unconscious brought to conscious, people where I worked started having me over. Then there would be other couples. Then when it got to about 10 or 12 who seemed to be there for entertainment value only, first one and then more would approach me afterward and really creep me out by saying they felt waves or some such nonsense coming from me. Then they started pestering me. I stopped and shut that crap off. Lucky school was back on again.

The account presented in this thread of the vision, trip, hallucination, lucid dream, self hypnotized madness, vision of God, whatever, takes two forms if you look close. Hell and Heaven.

Hell. Results from experiment involving physical methods that once initiated can only be terminated by an expiration of the energy source and/or, depletion of exotics thru metabolism. Too bad if you fall in the pit of despair. You get to wait it out. Maybe you will go too far and never come back.

Heaven. An understanding of the power of mind and it's associated perversions in areas that are not beneficial to progress, makes clear that with the application of discipline, practice, and concentration to drop the mind entirely for a little while and do the Samadhi thing. You may have heard of the Christian mystics. St. John of the Cross, Theresa of Avila, Francis of Assissi. Well the "areas" they have experienced are available by far less stringent ascetic techniques than they had used. But similar in thought. A bath in an Ocean of Love and Mercy, I was free from the body, Love pulses, Life without the body, existence after life and on and on. Pick the accounts you want. Maybe later I tell mine. The telling seems to diminish the experience over time, but a little maybe. Just have to recharge.

Posting of the vision's translation was supposed to show that the religious works have a basis in the reality of personal experiences. I can see such in the much diluted Bible. When someone is on fire with the right message around the right people at the right time, the crowds not only want but demand a leader show the way out of uncertainty. I realized this gratefully pretty early. Or maybe just lucky I had to go back to college where my views were pretty much the order of the day.

Studying further once I saw the direction things were going, I found that historically the crowd would turn on the leader and kick him in the nuts. Sorry. I'm too big a puss. But the temptation was very real to start accepting the dinners, and bar bills that the others would pay for me. The women offered other, er, temptations that were, uh, too tempting.

I hope you can see the similarities in past histories of Mormonism, Scientology, Islam, Christianity and smaller sects beginning from a charismatic founder. Heck, now I know you don't even need an experience but can pretend if you lack the ethics to resist fleecing the masses. Let's see. The eucharist as substitute for ........etc. A pretend experience sponsored by the Catholic church. Pass the plate.

Dawkins spends few words on the personal experience evidence for a God.
And rightly so as the vision is damn near always interpreted by the receiver as relating to humanity in general, instead of the individual experiencer. This phenomena still fascinates me and I see it today and I am attempting to define and temper that which is in me as well as clarify the traps that members of my family have gotten into.

That pull things together a little for ya' Phroggy?

Two new books bought today. Entanglement, The Unlikely Story of How Scientists, Mathematicians, and Philosophers Proved Einstein's Spookiest Theory by Amir D. Aczel and also The Emperor's New Mind by Roger Penrose. Just what I need. Really I am getting ready to be doing more and reading less.

Wiki covers panpsychism, and solipsist stuff. Though the Eckankar system has given me a plausible reference frame in which to understand the phenomena of inner experience and life, they are as subject to the negative powers in this world as any other. Eck, though, is different.

I notice that you noticed my change in Belief System. Not many noticed that. You reminded me of an incident at a restaurant.

I was at the table and just before the waiter left with my order I asked, "I've noticed that the waiters here all seem to have a spoon in their chest pocket. What's that all about?"
The waiter replied, "Well, the owners here have stressed efficiency at all levels of operation here and so the waiters carry a spoon so that when a customer drops theirs we can instantly replace it with the one in our pockets, then replace the spare when we go the kitchen for orders."
I said, " That makes a lot of sense. But I also notice a little string hanging out the top of your trouser's fly. How 'bout that?"
Patiently the waiter explained, "You are really observant. Most people don't notice these things. The string's there because a lot of time was being lost in the bathroom washing our hands. Management suggested the string to pull out the penis thus avoiding touching it and removing the hand washing requirement."
"Yeah, sure, but how do you put it back?" I asked.
The waiter quickly replied, "Well I don't know about the others, but, I use the spoon!"

Sam Harris eloquently explains the position being espoused at my Bible threads. There are atheists and theists alike who have disagreed with this side of Harris but he is on track.
