YouTube - Peanut Butter, The Atheist's Nightmare!
I totally have nightmares about peanut butter... Also, did you notice that the 'reveal' was done off camera? I say the evidence was cut! He found life, and immediately used another jar of peanut butter! :mmph:

http://www.smileycons.com/img/emotions/211.gif Is he serious? That's about the most ridiculous argument I've ever heard! The best thing I can say about this is that it made me laugh.

These guys are indeed serious. I saw next to the peanut butter clip Ray Comfort expounding on the God developed perfection of the banana. He seems not to realize that his demo banana has been genetically trained to have the qualities Ray gushes about.

Brian Sapien and Kelly did not have much challenge when Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron debated them on Nightline. Ray and Kirk looked shocked when it was over. Not sure if it was because of Kelly's well filled outfit or her voice.
What is in their Kool Aid?

Wow, he must think were 8 years old. Relatively, from our perspective of time, evolution doesn't take place very quickly. Also new life does not "occasionally" pop into existence just because of the presence of of energy and matter, otherwise nuclear reactors would be pumping out a new species everyday. Ah blinky, the three eyed fish.

This thread topic had me thinking in a completely different direction. I know a fundie family who does not allow peanut butter into their home because it's "toxic." But they have no problems "frying" eggs by putting them into plastic bags and microwaving them. :dizzy:

They must like to explode eggs....and what was their reasoning for peanut butter being poison?

Probably fear of aflatoxin induced liver cancer. http://www.thechinastudy.com/about.html
The New York Times has recognized the study (China-Oxford-Cornell Diet and Health Project) as the “Grand Prix of epidemiology” and the “most comprehensive large study ever undertaken of the relationship between diet and the risk of developing disease.”
This is the real thing. If you eat, read it. Some more.
Early in his career as a researcher with MIT and Virginia Tech, Dr. Campbell worked to promote better health by eating more meat, milk and eggs -- “high-quality animal protein … It was an obvious sequel to my own life on the farm and I was happy to believe that the American diet was the best in the world.”
He later was a researcher on a project in the Philippines working with malnourished children. The project became an investigation for Dr. Campbell, as to why so many Filipino children were being diagnosed with liver cancer, predominately an adult disease. The primary goal of the project was to ensure that the children were getting as much protein as possible.
“In this project, however, I uncovered a dark secret. Children who ate the highest protein diets were the ones most likely to get liver cancer...” He began to review other reports from around the world that reflected the findings of his research in the Philippines.
Although it was “heretical to say that protein wasn’t healthy,” he started an in-depth study into the role of nutrition, especially protein, in the cause of cancer.

Bingo. I actually heard my friend's mother tell a story about he was always sneaking "contraband peanut butter" into his room, and she said this like it was normal.

Watching this causes me to ache in a place deep within. I'm certain now that there's no hope for mankind.

I have an idea. Why don't we make a "The Christian's Nightmare" series? We could start with man nipples. We'd pretty much just have to get some people saying things like, "it seems like a poor design decision for an intelligent designer," then put names and titles on it, throw in some pics of nipples, and make it into a movie. We could make it as serious or as humorous as we wanted. I think it would be a lot of fun. I'd volunteer my time and movie-making software.

That has got to be the dumbest argument I've heard yet!
HELLO food is vacuum sealed moron! Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that it is difficult for life to exist in a vacuum! Let alone be created in one!

At a recent debate ove school vouchers I got into it with some fundie aftewards. He said something like "You evolutionists think you can throw down a handful of dirt and have life crawl out of it a few weeks later."
Whenever I hear such lame arguments I have to point out they've obviously learned their concepts of evolution from other fundies that obviously don't know anything about evolution and subsequently don't believe it. But then that's why they're talked about in this section.

I worry for the sanity of the human race when there are such ignorant people around. The really scary thing is he is so sure of himself over this >_>.
Really, he shouldn't be allowed to comment on evolution at all under he has actually studied the theory and understands it. As has been said in previous posts, evolution takes millions of years, and it is not simply matter with a light source.
I am actually so disturbed by this ><

Well, what he's talking about ("peanut butter + energy = life") actually has little to do with evolution. He sort of addresses abiogenesis, and even then, misunderstands that.
